I am passionate about the work I do. I feel honoured and inspired to work with people who show such great courage and resolve to improve their lives. I have worked in many areas of mental health and addictions specializing in family therapy, teaching clinical practice in social work and helping to pioneer the development of both AADAC’s Adolescent Addictions Treatment Centre and Alberta Health Services Eating Disorder Program.
I seek to understand each person individually and holistically, taking into account the emotional, cognitive, behavioural, relational, cultural, physical, social and spiritual aspects. My approach is not limited to recognizing and understanding challenges but more importantly the abilities, resources and strengths of the people I counsel.
I am here to help you understand your circumstances, gain new perspectives and find solutions.
Working collaboratively and respectfully, we will uncover and explore options and I will help you work though the change process. Together we will create and realize your unique vision of the future. I believe in change and that everyone is capable of finding solutions to their circumstances.
