SOCIAL WORK INCLUDED IN MEDICAL EXPENSE TAX CREDIT (METC)
CASW Press Release – October 11, 2012
The Canadian Association of Social Workers (CASW) is exceptionally pleased that Canadians who access clinical services provided by social workers now have the ability to claim these services on their income tax through the Medical Expense Tax Credit (METC).
To book or guarantee a Therapy appointment, please phone me at 250.808.2054 and leave a message in my voicemail. You can also book by contacting me through my email – firstname.lastname@example.org
Please let me know the specific times that are best to reach you. I am prompt in returning calls and messages, most often within the same day. I will provide an initial complimentary telephone consultation or email response to get us started.
Session fees may be reimbursed in part or full by your employer-provided health insurance plan (ie: Sun Life, Great West Life, Blue Cross). All insurance plans differ so please contact your human resources office to ensure they cover RCSW (Registered Clinical Social Work) Therapist.
I provide official receipts for both health insurance and tax purposes.
Fees charged are consistent with BCCSW professionals with a Doctorate Degree in Clinical Social Work and vary for individual, family and group therapy, as well as for specialized treatment services, consultations and assessments. The information gained from an initial complimentary telephone or email consultation will help to determine the rate that is applicable to you.
Counselling services provided by a Registered Clinical Social Worker are GST and PST exempt and are now included in medical expense tax credit (METC). Please click here to read the full announcement covered by the Canadian Association of Social Worker.
I appreciate advance notice if you are unable to attend a scheduled Therapy appointment. To avoid being charged for a missed session I require 24 hour cancellation notice.
